Why not hire Hudspeth?

He has made ULL a consistent bowl team and success everywhere he has coached. ULL did vacate 22 wins under him but that was apparently due to a rogue assistant.
He knows Mullens offense and could take over seamlessly with a team returning most of its offensive production and not need to teach new schemes.
Is Grantham staying with us? Give him a raise and keep him and I don't think we miss a beat next year. Would need to hire a good QB coach long term

I thought about Hud but I don't think people will like it. I think he would stay at State for a very long time.

He is floundering at ULL. He wouldn't be the worst hire, but he would be disappointing.

I don't want him, but Will Hall would be part of that deal, and Will has a lot of upside.

Hud has fallen apart without his early recruits and the past regime's guys
