That is the way at any University. Foley had to get the approval of the Chancellor at UF.
She said she was leading the search and there would be no committee. She would bounce things off of some people, but this is her decision to make. That is an awful lot of power for an interim AD.

She's a puppet, the money has made every major decision the past two weeks.
