Alabama has not been a consensus underdog at the time of kickoff since the 2009 SEC Championship vs. Florida. This Saturday will mark the 99th consecutive contest.
Alabama has scored in 49 consecutive quarters - dating back to the Peach Bowl against Washington in 2016. That’s the longest streak in the FBS since 2005.
Under Coach Saban, Alabama is 116-7 (.943) when leading at halftime.
The last time Alabama was shut out was 2000. It was the Iron Bowl, in a 9-0 loss. Mike DuBose’s final game as head coach.
Speaking of DuBose... Mike DuBose has a more recent SEC Championship than Tennessee.
Alabama’s 2017 senior class can break the all time wins record for college football with a win this Saturday - a mark set by the 2016 Alabama Crimson Tide.
The group boasts a four-year record of 51-4 (.927), a national championship (2015), three consecutive Southeastern Conference championships, and three College Football Playoff appearances. The 51 wins equals the school and NCAA record of 51 set by Alabama’s 2016 senior class, which posted a 51-6 (.895) career record.
Mercer became the 73rd consecutive unranked college football team to be defeated by Alabama, which is a new FBS (major college) record. The Tide entered Saturday’s game tied with Miami (1985-95) and Florida (1990-2000) at 72 consecutive wins over unranked teams. Bama’s streak dates from its Dec. 30, 2007, Independence Bowl win over Colorado.
Under Saban (2007-present) Bama has played 61 games as No. 1 and is 55-6 (90.2 percent).
The shutout of Mercer marked the 79th time to hold a team to 10 points or fewer in the Saban era.
Shout out to Kirk McNair for the majority of those breakdowns.

Auburn is 4-2 in the six games they have played while ranked number one.
In this decade Saban is 55-6 in the 61 games played while ranked number one.

I believe Auburn has been ranked #1 for only 9 weeks in the entire history of the AP Poll. Amazing.

This thread can also be substitute as a male enhancement supplement.

Those are impressive.
Some other stats:
*Alabama is going for its 4th consecutive win over Auburn. Alabama has not won 4 or more consecutive Iron Bowls since their 1981 win which was the 9th consecutive win. This will be the second time since that Bama has a shot to win its 4th straight Iron Bowl, coming up short in 1993. Can Bama do it this year?
*An Iron Bowl win would give Bama a shot at a 4th consecutive SEC Title. Bama has not 4 more more consecutive SEC Championships since 1975 when it won its 5th consecutive.
So a win over Auburn and potential win over Georgia the next week would give Bama two accomplishments not yet executed by them in the Post-Bryant era.

I read this stat today as well.
Saban is 6-0 against Auburn teams with fewer than 9 wins. He's 0-5 all-time against 9 or more win Auburn teams.
Bottom line, he 'struggles' against better Auburn teams.

The bottom line is in Nick Saban’s 16 season coaching in the SEC, Auburn has won 9 games only 5 times.
Two of those 5 losses were in his first year at LSU & Bama, respectively. Two of the other losses were to an Auburn team who played for a national championship.

Alabama has never beat a "good" Auburn team.
Fact.

If he loses Saturday, Auburn will most likely play for a national championship again.
Not arguing with you man, just contributing to the conversation. I'll be watching with all my Bama in-laws down here, so there's that.

They’ll have an uphill battle, but will have absolutely earned it if they make it.

The last really good Auburn team I remember Bama beating was in '94. I believe that Auburn team had only been tied by Georgia if I'm not mistaken

Auburn accounts for 2 of those losses don't they? Were we behind in 13?

Ahh the good ole days. When Bama had to make comebacks on teams like Colorado just to win

Hats off to Saban. That's pretty impressive stuff.
It doesn't mean shite come Saturday, but it's a fricking incredible run...
