You can thank Governor John Houstoun for Houston County's [link=(pronunciation)]https://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/articles/government-politics/john-houstoun-ca-1747-1796[/link]. It's a great way to screen for sales calls though. You can't sell me anything unless you pronounce the county name right.

Also challenging is getting people to understand you are from Rhine, but it is not spelled "Ryan."

Live it up while you can though.

Once they’ve toppled all the monuments and taken down the flags, you will then be sent to a re-education camp to learn to pronounce the names of your ancestors and home “properly”.
