Straws - Franks and Zaire have both had to deal with the shite show called Jim McElwain. They both were hung out to dry in the very first game against Michigan. McElwain was a poor HC that did not teach these kids basic football. It was evident year one but players at least had some coaching from Muschamp. As the years went by, this team got worst. One word... Coaching.

It is unfair to blame the players. This shite show is not their faults. This team could never run a 2 minute offense, a hurry up, the qb could never change cadence to draw a guy offside, throw a simple slant or out, recognize blitz packages or coverages. Our coaches had no idea of clock management, how to work refs, how to challenge a fricking call. This program was beyond pathetic game after game. We saw it but just let it go since we were barely beating teams as bad as we were. It's never been about the players. We've had guys go to other schools or go to the NFL and look better than what they did here. That points to coaching. We've had almost a decade of negligent coaching. It started when UM got chest pains and it hasn't gotten better since. We need a HC that knows how to coach kids up with basic skills/techniques. These kids have bad habits (like stupid penalties) that will take a while to break.

Well Spurrier himself could not have had Franks ready to play this year. The kid needed last year to completely change his long windup delivery. He is just not ready yet.

I supported Mac....just liked I supported Boom, Zook etc etc but I never supported Meyer in public. For many reasons.
Lets not forget that Mac did some good things....but in the end the pressure cooker that is UF did him in. He is gone now.

Zaire hasn't had much of a chance here and I wasn't very thrilled with his performance in the meatchicken game, but he came in cold. Right now the year is almost over and we are in the dumps. Better times are ahead of us.

Supported Mac, Zook and Muschamp but not Meyer. It sounds like it is better to get someone you don't support. I kid (maybe...)

And he's been cold all year because McElwain refused to play him, and worse not adapt his offense to him after Del Rio went down.

I knew Franks wasn't ready from the first game, but McElwain had one foot out of the door anyway.

It's true, to 4Lyfe, that they have both been under a poor offensive scheme -- but Franks had a lot more to work with the last few weeks. Running backs open up the passing game, and that in turn opens up the running game.

Perine is not as good as Davis, he doesn't have the same heart, speed or vision.

Toney being out hurts our big play potential from short gains.

Zaire has not gotten a fair shake at all, and frick -- he's wanted to play all year and we didn't give him a single chance until the entire offense was broken or suspended and our team had given up completely due to losing our HC.
