If Odom and his Tigers can get to 6 wins and a bowl, then I'm back on the Barry bus. If not I want him gone.

Seems clear and easy.

Maybe next year he will figure out what month the season starts.

I really do wonder what the shite the defense was doing for 6 months during the offseason

I think it had more to do with the front loaded schedule than the month. I won't believe he has anything figured out until after the fl game

Agree.

Another 5-7 season and keeping him would be a disaster in so many ways.

Disagree.

Any openings schedule which includes Mo St and Purdue isn’t front loaded. We gave up 35 and 43 points to two teams that are averaging 22 (Purdue) and 21 (Mo St) pts per game. And Mo State is averaging that in the Missouri Valley. Mo St is 8th in the MVC. Purdue is 5th in the B1G West.

How fricked are we that Purdue is considered "front loaded?"

We had those two and also our four toughest games. but my real point is I can't tell much about the D based on a couple of cupcakes. Florida is averaging 21 pts a game. What do you think we will hold them to?

This is the most damning evidence against keeping Odom around even if they win 6.

First time coach takes a defense that he was in charge of the year before, and completely changes the face of it in one fell swoop.

He didn’t even have the foresight to realize that it was something he needed to implement slowly.

He’s been playing catch-up on that side of the ball ever since.

I squarely place the blame on him when it comes to the defensive problems. Personnel matters, but it’s up to the coach to understand the tendencies and capabilities of players, especially if you’re going to wipe the slate clean and start over.

It wasn’t a “rebuild” until he pulled that shite, IMO.
