Aggies Catastrophe syndrome. It happens to everyone I know. I give Aggies shite all the time and do believe A&M IS NOT this sleeping giant about to take over College Football. That is a false narrative, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a solid program. Firing Sumlin would be a huge mistake. Yeah the other night wasn’t good but MSU is pretty strong this season. A&M left some plays on the field early and it got away from them. You guys are trotting a true frosh QB out there and a lot of other young players. This team looks more physical on D and is running the ball better. Things you all wanted to see happen. 7-9 wins with that young roster is not the end of the world, settle down.

This is spoken by someone who wants Sumlin to remain.
It's not just this season...it's the cumulative failures over the last 3+ seasons including what is staring A&M in the face.
The facts: Since Sumlin signed the extension with the ridiculous buyout, the following has happened:
-Record in 1st 6 games: 20-4
-Record after 1st 6 games: 9-14 (will end 10-17)
-Conference home record: 4-9 (will end 4-10)
-Home record vs. Division: 1-8 (will end 1-9)
-Record vs. the State of Mississippi: 1-6 (will end 1-7)
-Record after a bye week: 1-2 (21-16 win over ULM was only win). Average margin of defeat = 19.3 ppg
-Lost 59-0 in 2014.
-Blew a 21-6 4th quarter lead to a 5-win team playing a true freshman at QB for his first game ever
-Lost a game that he led 44-10 with 18 minutes left in the game
-Had starting and backup quarterbacks transfer 6 days apart with a week to go before a bowl game
-Completely failed to develop players at any position (name one current player on the roster that has gotten noticeably better under this coaching staff)
-Fired 5 coordinators (OC, DC, 2xOL, Strength and Conditioning)
Kevin Sumlin's tenure does not justify extending him or retaining him.

You make some good points, home and late season records aren't great. I don't follow A&M in the detail I'm sure you do to comment on specific player development.. but I will say this: doesn't this team look more physicall to you than the one that lost 59-0? I saw your game in Gainesville. Would A&M make that late Defensive stop to get the ball back at UF a few years ago? I doubt it.
Your running game also looks more physicall than before. Bigger backs running harder. From the distance and without the emotional investment just pointing out some signs of progress that you may be overlooking when you are dissapointed after a loss.

No. The team looks just as inept and would have lost 59-0 to that Alabama team as well.

Absolutely. In fact, it would have looked similar to the 2015 Vanderbilt game, when A&M looked crappy on offense but shut them out 25-0.

You're not watching the same games we are. Over the last three games, A&M has rushed for 250 yards...COMBINED on 106 carries.
Trayveon Williams ran for 203 yards against UCLA. He has run for 269 COMBINED yards since.
Keith Ford ran for 114 yards against UCLA and 102 yards against Arkansas. The other 6 games, he has run for 152 COMBINED yards.
Trayveon Williams ran for over 1,000 yards last year, Keith Ford ran for 669 and Trevor Knight ran for 614. As a TEAM, A&M may not reach 2,000 yards rushing at this point.

Not a single point you have made is true or even remotely accurate.

There is no chance. Woodward flat out said that he had to do better than 8-4 to be retained. A loss to Auburn makes that impossible.

He'd have have to win out

I mean, you can't fire a coach after going 10-3.
It won't happen so it's not really worth talking about.

No one actually thinks that. It’s a hypothetical that someone said playing message board
