Great advice, but know your limits. Half-assing a job will cost you way more in the long run. Don’t be afraid to “call a guy”.

If you call a guy, make sure he can do the job- a referred job from someone you know is good.

A whole lot of "guys" charge a lot of money and do a half assed job. Also make sure they have workmans' insurance because your home owners doesn't cover them (and in New Orleans we had some certificates of workmans comp that had been forged intentionally which I only found out by checking with the Supposed insuror.

You are smarter than 90 percent of the guys out there, and you can read and reason. Some guys are wastes of money.
