Throw a little more chaos.....Miami wins out and Wisconsin wins out and beats Penn St in a Close CCG.
That would mean a ND loss to Miami...did you mean that?
Actually...no. I looked at Miami's remaining schedule and have been so used to ND sucking, I glossed right over them.

It prob. would be you couldn't argue that wins with their only loss coming to a UGA team that could be undefeated going into the SECCG. The jury is still out on how good MSU will be by the end of the season but they are currently ranked. Follow that by a win against a top 15 NC State team. NC State is a team that really doesn't have any big wins nonetheless they are still playing good. If they did beat NC State and NC State beats Clemson then that win will look a hundred times better considering NC State would be in the ACCCG bearing no epic melt down. If they beat Miami in a few weeks and Miami is undefeated, then that will be a very good top 10 team. Follow that by beating Stanford at the end of the season in which Stanford could be a top 25 team and maybe a top 10 or 15 team if they beat WSU and Washington. So there is a possibility that those three wins could be against eventual conference championship participates. So...I can see the committee putting them in without playing a conference championship.

Yes..The two big hairballs I have in this scenario is will Alabama still get in if both UGa and Bama are undefeated but Bama loses a close one in the SECCG.
The other Hairball is ND running the table and how that would impact the CFP
Assuming TCU and PSU win out and are in (as you mentioned), bama loses to us in SECCG and ND wins out, ND is absolutely in. ND and bama would both only have 1 loss (and to the same team at that), neither would be champions of a conference, but ND's loss was week 2 while bama's was fresh and ND would have likely faced a tougher schedule, or at least a similar schedule.
Personally, I think bama is light years better than ND and is a MUCH better football team, but if that's the black and white facts the committee has to go on I don't see how ND is left otu.

The ultimate scenario is when Notre Dame runs the table and finishes 11-1, and goes to the College Football Playoff over a 12-1 Georgia (after losing in the SECCG).
Because it would happen.
Because it would happen.

Here’s chaos:
1) LSU wins out with a close, close win against Alabama.
2) Georgia wins out and is #2 in the SECCG.
3) Alabama finishes 11-1 and blows out Miss St and Auburn.
4) Clemson wins out.
5) Notre Dame wins out.
6) TCU loses.
7) Penn St loses but wins Big Ten.
8) LSU beats Georgia by a hair to win the SEC.
We’ll assume other bubble teams lose.
LSU - Conference champion. 2 losses with wins over Alabama and Georgia. Losses to Troy and Miss St.
Alabama - 1 loss to conference champion. Undisputed #1 for most of season.
Georgia - 1 loss to conference champion. Win over Notre Dame.
Notre Dame - 1 loss to Georgia.
Clemson - Defending champ. Conference champ. 1 loss to Syracuse.
TCU - 1 loss. Conference champ.
Penn St - 1 loss. Conference champ.
Who goes? Who’s left out?
LSU isn't going. 1-loss Alabama would be the SEC representative.
Notre Dame wins out, and they are going.
Alabama
Notre Dame
Penn State
Clemson
Deciding the 4 teams wouldn't be too tough. Seeding them would be, though. I'm assuming Penn State's loss would be to someone like Michigan State, since they wouldn't win the Big Ten with a loss to Ohio State. They'd probably be #1, with Alabama or Notre Dame as #2.

Where it would get really fricked up is if Auburn beat UGA and Bama then beat UGA again in the SECCG

I think the Big 12 is the most interesting conference right now. With only 10 teams in the conference, the best part of their conference championship is that the two best teams will play in that game. With the exception of TCU already winning against OK State, TCU still has OU and OU still has TCU and Ok State. Don't forget about WVU and Iowa State, which both only has one conference loss and potentially could cause a shite storm in the conference if one or both of those teams upset TCU, OK State, and OU (Iowa State already has with the win against OU).

Solution is an 8 TEAM PLAYOFF!!!!!!!!!

Clearly Troy would be one of the teams.

I wouldn't be opposed to that. All power 5 conference champs with 3 at larges. However, I think scheduling would be an issue. Between the season schedule, school schedules with finals, and the time when to start the playoffs would be a challenge. Under the current schedule, the conference championships are the first weekend in December. The first games would have to be played a couple of weeks after than, followed by the final 4 games being played on New Year's, and the NC two weeks after that. Anything past that falls in the same time the NFL is in the meat of their playoffs.

Worst CFP scenario
1) LSU wins out with a close, close win against Alabama.
2) Georgia wins out and is #2 in the SECCG.
3) Alabama finishes 11-1 and blows out Miss St and Auburn.
4) Clemson wins out.
5) Notre Dame wins out.
6) TCU loses 1 game, but wins Big 12 CG
7) Penn St wins out but loses Big Ten CG
8) Wisconsin loses to Michigan, but beats Penn St in Big 10 CG
9) LSU beats Georgia by a hair to win the SEC.

No, I just don't created the worst possible scenario I could think of for the CFP. In reality
1)LSU loses to Bama, who then wins out
2) ND beats Miami
3) Miami loses to Clemson, who wins out
4) TCU wins out
5) PSU wins out
CFP will be
1) Bama
2) PSU
3) TCU
4) Clemson
The only drama will be ND being left out.

No chance in hell if Alabama loses one game they drop to the 4th spot.

If Miami Runs the Table that would mean beating VT, Miami and Clemson in the ACCCG..They would be in
They'd have to beat ND also, and they'd be undefeated. #2 seed at worst if this happens

quote:True. That is chaos but even if that scenario played out I don't think LSU gets in. You're forgetting teams ahead of LSU in the polls...like it or not LSU wouldn't jump high enough for consideration.
Here’s chaos:
LSU's losses are not quality losses and would hold them out of consideration for the playoffs.
