Except for that whole running for 600 yards and 6 TDs thing in addition to his passing.

So he's a good RB and a mediocre QB.

He’s really good at running the football, mediocre at throwing the football, and good at making the right decision, or to be more accurate good at not making bad decisions. He plays safe and doesn’t take many risks. This leaves big plays on the field but it is also a recipe for winning games when you have a defense like he does. I think Saban would rather 2 touchdowns and 2 punts than 3 touchdowns and 3 turnovers. I’d say that makes him more dangerous than a mediocre quarterback.

To be honest he’s getting more comfortable throwing the football. The only mediocre aspects of his game have been the deep ball and going through his progressions. He’s gotten better at the latter. 1 play for 60 yards and a touchdown nets the same amount of points as 10 plays at 6 yards per play and a touchdown. To call him a mediocre QB is laughable, to call him a mediocre passer is fair and accurate. A lot more goes into the position at this level than throwing the ball.
