Tennessee seems to have settled into a rut of self imposed mediocrity. To think that twenty years ago they were the top program in college football, and today they haven't done anything noteworthy since making an appearance in the SECCG ten years ago.
They plumbed new depths with the loss last Saturday. That was enough to sicken even the least squeamish.

My woefully uninformed and vague view of their history is that they’ve had a series of bad coaching hires since they ran Fulmer off. Their whole athletics department has underachieved for about 20 years I think. Talent squandered left and right. I feel like I’m gonna be able to tell legends to my kids of the time long ago when the orange T was feared.

It has been said before, but it's karma. Watching fatass Phil's halftime interview last week changed me from feeling a little sorry for the Vols to wanting to hang 66 on them like we did against OM.
frick you, Phil.

I am old enough to remember The Bear and what he had to say about the VOLS. He said that when you played The VOLS you found out what kind of team you had. He had the utmost respect for your program.
I know what fat phill did to bring Bama down and I hate him for it. But enough is enough. Get rid if the cancer in your football program and hire a quality coach. It's been too long.

I swear to fricking god there is nothing weirder on this board than how misty-eyed and wistful Alabama fans get for Tennessee

Imagine that, mutual hatred and mutual respect between the clear cut top two programs that built the Southeastern Conference

It's a thing. Bama - VOLS from the early 60s on has been the game both teams marked on their calendar.
No apology for the tradition of 3SIO.
Pat Dye told of one game at Neiland Stadium. It was a war, back and forth. Coach Bryant fired PD 3 times that game. It was intense as told by PD.
