There is literally nothing closer to a match made in heaven.

I agree. I thought Dabo's success was mostly due to Watson being his QB, but he's shown he can continue to compete for titles now with the way his team has played this year. I'd be surprised if they're not undefeated going into the playoffs

Assuming Saban retires at some point in the somewhat near future (say within 4-6 years) there is almost no doubt that Dabo would be our first choice to replace him.

As OP said, you could not create a more perfect candidate in a lab, in terms of pedigree, youth, and accomplishment.

Really hope we get Dabo but I don’t think it’s a given that he’d accept an offer. He’s got it made at Clemson and they will open the checkbook to keep him.

Hope everyone gives him a big cheer when he’s honored on the field Saturday.

I hope so too, but I think he stays at Clemson.

I don't see how he's not at this point.

When did everyone change their mind on Dabo?

CNS's contract and Dabo's run to te same end date currently, is that just by chance? I think not. The stars are aligning for Dabo's return Home. (but as everyone says "don't be the man that replaces the man"

It's almost too perfect how things are shaping up for him to be the guy when Saban retires. Almost like it's too good to be true. You hope it all pans out, but kind of wonder what will happen between now and then. I figure Saban has got at least another 5 years in him barring any unexpected personal issues or even more unlikely, a huge decline success on the field. Same goes for Dabo at Clemson.

You know Dabo will get the first call and hopefully the only call. I wouldn't bet on it but there may have already been some feelers put out already. With that said, you can't blame him if he says no.
