We've had 4 coaches win multiple national titles and another that won 1.
Wallace Wade - 3
Frank Thomas - 2
Bear Bryant - 6
Gene Stallings - 1
Nick Saban - 4
If the Univ. had hired Bobby Bowden (who has stated numerous times he wanted the job) instead of Bill Curry in 1987 we'd have a couple more national titles.

When did Bowden retire at FSU? Asking because if Bowden goes to Bama in '87, I doubt everything plays out for Bama to ever get Saban. I don't think Bowden would have done better than Saban or even equaled him

That's right. It started way before Bryant. CPB decided to come to Bama when listening on the radio at 13yrs old to Bame winning the Rose Bowl in 1925. So, Wallace Wade started it all. Its more accurate to say we had 3 of the top 5 of all time. Wade/Bryant/Saban

Could you imagine going from Bryant, to Bowden, to Saban... I mean talk about straight up unfair.
