Mazzone is light years better than Spav.

Mazzone is slightly better than Spav but way too similar

Other than using shotgun spread they really aren't similar at all.

Mond played like an LSU QB tonight that's all I meant. Hopefully he'll improve but there were signs for concern.

Ags played a bad game on the road against a quality SEC defense and won. WTF. That is not what usually happens. Defense travels. Sumlin may be earning himself staying for the final year of his contract. No extensions tho please.

If you don't give him an extension, recruiting will suffer. He's earned 1 year with no extra buyout money. He could still lose that. If we win out, extend him through 2020 and see how well this thing with Mond goes. If he can't win the SEC by then then bye bye.

You have a point. Give everybody a one year extension with incentives. Get us to Atlanta next year and we can talk about re-upping for longer.

We are 5-2 and only 2 of those wins were against teams with winning records, one of which was an FCS team. Not ready to extend 3 years based on that. Jury still out, Sumlin has to beat LSU and not lose more than one more game to get even a chance to finish his contract. I think recruits know that if Sumlin goes, we will be hiring an elite coach so wouldn't extend long based on his body of work.

Yep, it’s weird that we are 7 games in to the schedule and I still feel like we don’t know enough about our team. We are winning games which is good, but come from behind wins against crappy teams isn’t what you want.
LSU beating auburn at home shows they aren’t going to just roll over on this season, that game in their stadium will not be easy. Plus miss st, auburn, and I’ll even throw in Tennessee, and this team better not be overlooking anyone focusing on a different week as it might bite them in the arse if they do so.
It’s a pretty defining line on what our record needs to be with the SEC being so down this year. 8-4 he needs to go, 9-3 or better and he can stay but no increase to his buyout.

He won't get an extension. The AD and BoR want him and the staff gone. Whether he wins and leaves of his own accord, or whether he loses these next few games, he is basically done. Sumlin and his wife going public with the letter was the last straw. Nobody really wants him here anymore, including all those with the money
As one of my friends put it, he's playing for his next job now.

According to FishFearMe, you have no idea what you are talking about. After all, he has thousands of posts on texags.
