That transition was expected to take place after the current football season, but recent scandals involving the school's softball and men's basketball programs have accelerated the process, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

#ISupportJay

Y'all will be making a huge mistake. Can't believe this is even being considered. JJ is the best AD Auburn has ever had.

Can we have a statewide vote on this? I don't think state employees should be let go so quickly without the people's input.

Congrats Aubies. Hopefully LSU will join the AD pink slip party, too.

It's fascinating that Auburn fans would be happy to give the job to a guy who, although he had a decent career as a coach, has never had an administrative job in his life. There are reasons why top programs these days generally don't hire career coaches as ADs. But yeah, Auburn, go ahead and give it to him without doing a national search.
