Is Brian Snitker the right guy moving forward?

I admit that the last few years I haven't followed the Braves as closely as I used to. I do have cautious optimism with what Coppollela and company are building. I'm not a fan of Snitker though.

Whenever I hear Snitker talk and the way I perceive his management style I don't get a good feeling that he is the right longer term manager. His "awe shucks," "that a boy," "we're real close to being good" style frankly kind of annoys me over the course of a long season. I guess I'd like to see someone with a little more fire and willing to chew some butts and impose some consequences on poor performance. He just seems like a stop gap.

Thoughts? He is the right guy moving forward or should the Braves make a change?

No. Poor lineup management, worse bullpen management, and an unhealthy love affair with the sacrifice bunt. Not a fan.

God, no. If he is the manager next year I will be very disappointed. Literally his only strength is that the players seem to like him.

Don't think so. We have the talent. Should be competing with Washington.

? Our rotation is suspect, so I am not sure if Joe Madden could win.

All this. And his management of young players is terrible on top of that (see players like Fried and Morris coming up and just holding down a spot on the bench rather than playing).

He's like all of Bobby's bad qualities multiplied ten times with almost none of his good qualities.

If he is then we're in for a long depressing time

Really has nothing to do with winning and losing at this point. It's how he manages situationally and lineups. It's just bad, and it's not even consistent. There's no philosophy there.
