This has been my big sticking point on Mac. I think he develops players well. He spots diamonds in the rough. However; you win with blue chips. That is just a fact. Every national title winner since as far back as 24/7 goes, has won with a high blue chip number. It's just what it is. End of the day. The more blue chips, the more talented. Ratings are based on their athletic ability more than anything. Five stars are generally freaks of nature players. Must haves. Sure, some will fail with poor attitude or coaching. But Spikes, Harvin, Tebow, Hargreaves, Bullard, Harvey, etc...our list of incredible five stars should convince everyone these are a must on a great team.
We can develop lesser talent to an extent. We need more blue chips. Being under 40 percent is the worst Florida has been since Spurrier started bringing in his classes. That is an issue. A major one. Luckily, he is doing very well this class. We need a few stud defenders though.

I'm worried the lack of blue chip talent, especially on defense, will tank this season. It has been a nagging worry all off season. Especially if UF has a lot of injuries again.

LOL, it's so different hearing that around here after listening to everyone say recruiting doesn't matter.
