I'm not arguing that Wade has had an impressive start, he has. You just can't extrapolate elite recruiting from pulling in GradTransfer/JUCOs + post NSD LOI releases

Wade has to start recruiting top end talent w/ no ties to LSU before anyone takes Wade the recruiter seriously. As of right now, we just don't know he hasn't the opportunity

Smart is #19 overall,

I'm going to start by saying any guy from ~#20 to #40 should be extremely close in ability

Javonte Smart's "#19" Composite ranking is because 247's BBall composite is a POS. He is inside the top 25 in only 1 ranking

247 Internal - #36
Scout- #28
ESPN - #26
Rivals - #19

ESPN is the best of the traditional recruiting site rankings for basketball. They suck at football, but they get basketball right compared to the others

How can he do that when you make excuses for everyone he's recruiting? From Louisiana? Doesn't count. Has some relation to someone like girlfriend or coach? Doesn't count.

We're expected to sign 4 Top 100 caliber players for 2018, 2 of those are from LA and 1 has a girlfriend here, so basically the whole class doesn't count even though it's likely to finish Top 10 in the country?

You understand how this works, right? He doesnt need to be 18, 19, 20, 19 to be #19 in the composite. It's not just an average and that's where you RANK. The #1 player could be 1, 1, 3, 6 in the 4 rankings and still be #1 overall in composite.

There are guys who are probably rated 11, 16, 38, 51, but they would be lower in the composite than Smart.
