It has everything to do with it. It's called democracy. The majority has repeatedly rejected the cause of fascist and racist groups in this country. They can march dressed up like Nazis and hold rallies as any other group, but unless the 13th Amendment, the Civil Rights Act, and a bunch of other laws are reversed by the will of the majority of Americans, they're just whistling in the wind. They lost this cause long ago.

And the American form of government is called "a Republic." We do not have a democracy, and the Founding Fathers were very much against it, precisely because it was mob rule.
