If the point shaving is true then OM is really in danger of being kicked out of the SEC

That is super serious.
They are going to get destroyed for at least a decade just on the other stuff, but if the point shaving allegations turn out to be true they are in legitimate danger of getting their FB program shut down.

I honestly hope not, it would be terrible for the conference. There are just so many rumors you don't know what to believe.

Where are the point shaving allegations coming from? I've seen message board posts that are more curious than accusatory in nature, but haven't seen it suggested as a serious possibility.

Yup.
And if the other stuff is true, Hugh is on his way to jail.

I'm pretty sure legally Ole Miss can't be kicked out of the SEC

How can the program be penalized by the QB point shaving?
Are there allegations that Ole Miss was aware of the alleged actions?

Nah. Statute of limitations has long run out, if you're referencing the high school stuff.

They aren't kicking a charter member of the SEC out of the league.

It would be damaging for every school in the SeC. CFB as a whole really.
They deserve to get pounded for what they did, and will, but I seriously hope this is all nonsense because this effects more than just Ole Miss

Same with the hookers for the recruits.

All I have heard is that Steve said something is in the phone records that is way worse than escorts. Since that's been said, point shaving is a very frequent and popular rumor. This is the same type of way the escort stuff started, so I think it might have some weight. But I am not in the know by any means.

incorrect. Per SEC Bylaws:
3.1 MEMBERSHIP, TERMINATION, SUSPENSION
*3.1.1 Number of Members. The number of members of the Conference shall be set by the Chief Executive Officers.
[Revised 5/30/91]
*3.1.2 Granting of Membership. Membership may be granted by invitation of the Conference at a meeting of the Chief
Executive Officers. A vote of at least three-fourths of the members is required to extend an invitation for membership.
[Revised 5/30/91] [Clarified/Conformed 6/1/11]
*3.1.3 Suspension of Membership. Membership may be suspended at a meeting of the Chief Executive Officers. A
member may be suspended at any time by a vote of at least two-thirds of the members, either indefinitely or for a stated
period, for any conduct deemed to be incompatible with membership. [Clarified/Conformed 6/1/11]
*3.1.4 Termination of Membership. Membership may be terminated voluntarily by the resignation of a member or
involuntarily at a meeting of the Chief Executive Officers. A vote of at least two-thirds of the members is required to
terminate membership. Any motion to terminate membership shall specify the effective date of the proposed termination.

As a charter member, I believe this is correct.
However, if they can't field a team, the SEC should be able to protect itself.

When did he leave Briarcrest? Because Tennessee law says there's a 15 year Statute on class A felonies.

What if Freeze was a participant in the point shaving? And the abrupt resignation following the dissection of the phone records wasn't due just to calls to escorts but also calls to either a bookie or a gambling website or to a mobster? Just like there were rumors of cheating for several years, there have been rumors of Bo Wallace betting on games and possibly point shaving. Is it much of a stretch to say Hugh was in on the action too?
