His high school teammate and fellow defensive back is already at Arkansas and has been recruiting him ever since they were both still in high school. That may not mean shite but it's something

Spin 101. When recruit we want is about to commit elsewhere say we didn't have room or he's not a take.

Virtually no room because of small senior class and retention within the program.
Those type of articles especially from our 247 site are filler content.
We only have room for maybe 1 or 2 to finish the class after our next two commits and have other needs.
When we took McCalister I figured the writing was on the wall for Bishop. We took 5 CB last year and have two currently committed in our 11 man class.

Top 10 is irrelevant because we don't have room for more than four or so of those guys listed.
We have 7 corners committed or on campus from the last two classes. What more can I say?

He was told when he came to campus about a month ago, we only had so many slots left. He even repeated it to the media. He drug his feet, we accepted another kid instead. Hey, this kid can play and he's fast! He will make a good player for who ever gets him.

Just because 247 put out a list of 10 doesn't mean: 1. That we have room for 10 (we don't) and 2. That he was a top priority for the few spots we have left. We already have two DB committed, at least one if not both higher rated.

We might sign 16 this year and signed 6 DBs last year. His cousin is committed to play Baseball at LSU. He wanted an offer from LSU...which delayed him making any decisions. He didn't get the LSU offer at camp...didn't get it. We have no room for another DB at this time
MSU is his best commitable offer at this time and he took it.
I think he will be a good DB
