was Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis at $1,558,000

but the former LSU defensive coordinator did not have a very good year. His defense finished 91st in the nation and 10th in the SEC in total defense with 444.2 yards allowed a game, including 622 to LSU in a 54-39 loss to the Tigers at Texas A&M

Aranda's defense finished 13th in the nation and second in the SEC with 323 yards allowed a game.

DAMN !!!

A&M, I think Cam Cameron is still available if you want to get LSU's ex offensive coordinator also.

Interesting way to spin an article titled LSU asst. football coaches highest paid in U.S. for 5th straight year

I'm wondering why all that money can't buy LSU a division title.

Chavis would have had LSU in the NY6 Bowl at a minimum with that talent on D to go with the damn near unstoppable run game. But you had to settle on Steele & then Aranda. They didnt do bad, but Chief would have had them top 3.
