Several players on LSU come from FL. Blake Dean is an example. And the Gators have the disadvantage of having FSU and Miami competing for the same kids. LSU has a monopoly on their state.
Plus, it's hard to compete against such a wealthy and loaded program.

I'll admit I haven't kept up, but O'Sullivan has done well recruiting a lot of + arm talent from in state, no?
What resources are they lacking? An argument could be made that for all of Foley's sustained greatness (and that's not an attempt at damning with faint praise), not focusing resources from the UFAD towards the program has potentially prevented them from even higher levels of achievement.
LSU was lucky enough to see the ROI on investing in the Baseball program very early on. Foley not making a similar investment is shortsighted. An argument could be made that it's a lack of vision at least with respect to UF Baseball...
