Wants to keep Adams in the lineup. Took some infield at third today.

Worth a shot with the dumpster fire that has been 3B this year...

They aren't going anywhere this year anyways so might as well trade Adams when Freeman comes back. His value will never be higher.

If this team was a contender, I'd be on board with trying this.

I think their outlook is that if he comes back on the 14th, they'll have 17 days to decide if it is working. What if the Braves are 6 games under .500 when Freddie comes back, and then are, say, 2-3 games over .500 on the 31st with both in the lineup? No one will want to trade him then. But if it tanks, then it is an easy decision for them. I think they are hoping that after a couple weeks of trying it out, the game will tell them what to do, so to speak.

Our lineup will be so nasty

Hope it can work out. Although I think they will end up trading Adams to be a DH. He's proven he's an everyday bat, Let's see what Boston will give us.

Adams, Phillips, Kemp and Markakis should all be dealt.

Flow
Kakis (swap with flow against righties)
Pitcher
Swanson

Meh, are you gonna sit the guy who has hit 10 HR's in the past month and leading the NL in RBI's in that same span?

Against lefties absolutely. He should be traded though.

Nice little hot streak. Hope he can get something resembling a prospect, but we certainly shouldn't keep him beyond this year.

These inflated stats will hurt in arb and we have no place to play him.

It's hard to ignore his HR power. Without his production we'd be second to last int he MLB with 67 team homers. Only San Fran would be lower at 63. Absolutely try FF at third.

As much as I selfishly want to keep him for my enjoyment of this season, this is the smart move long-term.

Coppolella stated it's time to keep impact players instead of acquiring prospects, in that the cupboard is full.

They will fully try position change out, as they should. 3rd base is the glaring black hole. RF could use an upgrade, but Mark is solid there. He has no pop in his bat but it's not a weakness per se.

The only impact players are Freeman and Inciarte. I agree they shouldn't be dealt.

Flowers is having a very nice year and is very affordable and there's no one better to put there in the immediate future. Hold.

Adams is who he is. I believe selling high is the play but I understand those that want to hang on. No issue with trying Freeman out at 3rd.

Phillips has to be traded. Stick Camargo at 2nd until Albies is ready and then it will be his for a long time.

Swanson obviously you keep running out there every day.

3rd base seems to be a black hole. Freeman being able to stick there would be a huge help value wise but I'm not expecting it.

Kemp should be traded if at all possible. He is okay but the big contract is not a great use of resources and I'm fearful of a gigantic decline given how fragile and immobile he's becoming.

Markakis is a very very mediocre player on an okay contract. If you can trade him fine if not fine. He is the 6th-7th best everyday player on a first division team at this point in his career. Certainly he should not stand in the way of any prospect or acquisition.

Every pitcher on the active roster except Newcomb is expendable.
