So on one side we have LSU and Oregon State. 8 national titles combined, albeit 6 from a blue blood and 2 from a new power.
On the other side we have Louisville and Florida. Two douche schools. Two Johnny come lately's...
Not a bad winners bracket at all.

LSU's tradition started in the 90's so still fairly Nouveau riche even if it is daddy's money.

Looking ahead to the not-so-superlatives: Texas A&M will attempt to break the 4th (or 3rd, depending on how you count ties) longest losing streak in CWS history at 7 losses in a row.
With that, they are also looking to get their first win in Omaha since 1993.
Cal State could extend its current Omaha losing streak, which sits at 8. (For those wondering, Northern Colorado owns the longest losing streak at 11)

Just another reason why LSU is A&M's daddy...
LSU began the Aggie losing streak in Omaha with a 13-8 win in the 1993 winners bracket game. LSU went on to win the CWS that year.

What would LSU fans do if Florida won the natty by beating LSU in the final series? I'm sure it would never happen because Fla sux and LSU is great and stuff, but it would be interesting to think of the epic melt that would occur.

He is LSU's worst poster on this board by far, and that's quite an accomplishment. Adds nothing to any discussion

Well, to answer your question honestly, IF Florida were to beat LSU in the championship, the melt would be between nuclear and 1/9 levels. A lot of hate for the gators right now, fair or not.
I'm just happy to see Florida fans giving a shite about baseball. They've been good for too long not to have fan support.
That said, let's both hope lsu beats the beavers and we can continue this conversation.

That melt would potentially rival the 1-9/ 21-0 melt.

What? You were expecting an actual answer? Of course the melt would be bad. If LSU and Florida face off in the final series, this board will be 100% unbearable no matter the outcome.
eta: that said, were LSU to face Florida, I'd be down to catch a game at a bar with you here in the great city of Dallas. Hell, maybe I'd even buy you a beer.

So you live in Dallas and your name is DBU. You must be a Dallas Baptist University fan. Change your logo, loser.

Joking aside:
I'm heading to Dallas for our game versus Michigan. Any recommendations on things to do there?

Depends on what you're into, where you're staying, group you're traveling with, etc.
I wouldn't recommend staying in Arlington unless you want to get shot. Fort Worth has 7th street and the stockyards, cowboy stuff. Dallas has Uptown/Deep Ellum for the bar scene. If you like museums, 6th Floor Museum (JFK) is pretty good. I'm not the best at giving our recommendations because when I travel for games I usually just tailgate day of and I'm out on Sunday morning.

Was planning on flying in, going golfing somewhere, and then head to a Rangers game. I think they play the Angels the night before the game. Obviously Saturday is just dedicated to tailgating and football. Leaving early Sunday. So I guess it's mostly what to do after the baseball game and what golf courses that you recommend that wouldn't break the bank, but still nice.
Staying in Las Colinas area for easy access to the airport.

I didn't even think about the Rangers being in town. Definitely do that, always a good crowd at the Rangers games.
As for golf, Cowboys Golf Club is awesome but its pricy. Tour 18 is a good time and not too expensive. Honestly there are so many great courses here, it really depends on what you're comfortable with paying.
