I don't think Ole Miss fans care.
As long as they can play pretend country club rich, wear polos, delude themselves into thinking that a well manicured campus with brick buildings is exclusive to Ole Miss, eat cold chicken fingers on their grandmas china, rent chandeliers for their tents, think that an obnoxiously thick southern accent shows a sign of old southern wealth, that even though their school is ranked at or near the bottom of the SEC academically that they are somehow a small private Southern Ivy, or even though their wealth is a fraction of most SEC schools that they are somehow the wealthiest alumni base in the South...
As long as they have that, I think they'll be fine.

It doesn't surprise me one bit they think they can get out of the NCAA trouble.
Because it already takes a lot of delusion to be an OM fan
Delusion. Lots of delusion.

I think we have pretty much already been fricked with a year bowl ban,13 scholarships reduction, official visits reduced, recruiting weekends reduced. As long as we don't get another year bowl ban tacked on and a shite ton more schollies, I'll be fine. Suspend Freeze all you want this next year, doesn't matter. I do think this thing has been blown way the frick out of proportion by the media. We pay a guy supposedly $10k who doesn't even come to our school. The NCAA found nothing on the Tunsil, Nkendiche, Treadwell, Evan Engram class and could t stand it.

But at this point I really DGAF anymore. Just pretty ridiculous State "little brother" always end up in the snitching process, whether it be Cam or Leo Lewis.

I married into an Ole Miss family and all of the above is true. It's amazing how much their opinion of Ole Miss differs from reality. It's getting a little better now that the facts are more publicly available through the internet and they can research academic rankings and endowment levels, but the amount of delusion in the Ole Miss bubble remains astronomicaly high.

An ad hoc analysis of what you've written tells me you are the one that is actually obsessed with money and status.

A little freudian, but hey sometimes a cigar is a cigar.

Jeezus moron, have you ever been anywhere? You think tacky is somehow reserved just for the Ole Miss types you're denigrating?

Ever been to New York? Boston? I've seen tacky and heard accents that would blow your plebeian little mind.

So what's your story? I'll do a little opposition research and paint you in such a disgusting light your own mother would disown you.

Oh Snap! Forgot you are obsessed with showing your quality. Got to have the perfect watercress sandwich on the Wedgwood.

Why heck, from the sound of you I'm getting the gist that you spent time in an English boarding school of poshest calibre, where your bum enjoyed the most robust rogering by - well lots of people: headmasters, upperclassmen, ...

It's how gentlemen of quality and breeding are made. Italian shoes, leather seats, suits made in the city.

Nothing crass like renting a chandelier to put in a tent, or cold chicken fingers.

Why don't you move to California? You can get snockered on wine instead of beer, and tell yourself you are better than the riff raff.

And Sniff* you won't have to be around those dreadful bores in Oxford.

You know, I think I am going to Lowes and buy a g#$d$%^ chandelier (I buy chandeliers outright, I don't rent). Then I'm going to pitch the tent in the back yard and run a power cord out and plug that chandelier up.

I just want you to know that wherever you are.
