Supposedly he may be in AU this weekend. It seems like we are already hanging on by the thinnest of threads, if he doesn't show up this weekend you can go ahead and scratch us off the list for sure.

I'd be somewhat surprised if he goes to UGA though given what they have with Fromm. I think he probably wants to go there but he's also a sensible kid and I doubt he's going to go somewhere to sit for what will most likely be 3 years as I don't see Fromm leaving early no matter how successful he is a la Murray and Greene. If Kirby can convince the #1 player in the country to be a situation player for at least 2 years then

FSU makes the most sense given his finalists or even somebody like USC or LSU to get into the mix. Bias aside it wouldn't be very smart for him to go to UGA right now.

Jake Fromm is listed at 6'2" 229... tough to get a good read on how accurate that is though IMO. If we assume for now that number is correct though, the top 3 draft picks at QB (all first rounders) in 2017 were:

2nd overall - Mitch Trubisky - 6'2" 222

10th overall - Patrick Mahomes - 6'2" 225

12th overall - Deshaun Watson - 6'2" 221

Granted Mahomes and Watson are more dual threats (Trubisky was at one time an elite DT QB coming out of HS, but not highly utilized in college...) but Fromm is relatively quick/athletic at least in terms of movement in the pocket... don't yet know what he would do on any designed runs as we probably would prefer to wrap him in bubble wrap given our depth concerns at QB.

Not saying he'd "definitely go early" by any means... but was interesting to note that the difference in perception between 6'1" and 6'2" to NFL scouts is apparently a big gap. Question would probably be how does his velocity/power on deep throws develop over time. Right now not much is being asked of him on deep balls, but while he doesn't have Eason's cannon to chuck it 65+ down field... I think he's got enough to make all of the important throws.

And again... how does all this sort itself out with Eason... it's a big question mark. For now I'll trust Kirby and Co to do everything in their power, but certainly seems like we could have a good shot. Hell, Mitch Trubisky went #2 overall after only starting for a single season at UNC.

Same fricking thing I said before the Georgia fans went epileptic. Let's not even talk about Fromm, who is running the offense well enough.

Let's talk about Eason who is only a Sophomore. So Fields would come in and immediately have to beat out Eason, a former 5-star quarterback, and then Fromm who is doing well enough. As you said:

If Kirby can tell the number 1 player in the country ''hey, come ride the pine for a few years'' and the guy comes, he's the best recruiter in the country.

He's going to beat out Blackman which will be a cinch at FSU. Francois won't be there after next year.

Outside of playing time, what is he waiting for? Location? He's close to all three top schools. Educational prestige (lol)? Pipelines to the NFL? FSU, UGA and Auburn got it.

All this shite he already knows. So is he waiting for a check to clear? Or promises to playing time? Seeing who's winning and losing?

Georgia fans need to get their heads on straight.
