we aren't striving for mediocrity... we are playing a war of attrition. once saban retires the best coach in the SEC will be none other than Dan Mullen. OM will still be recovering from sanctions. Orgeron will orgeron and auburn will most likely be next up for investigation by the NCAA. That will put us in a spot to continue to improve recruiting and win a national title in the same manner that Clemson did. Took them a while but they did it.

Nah, we'll hire someone better than Mullen.

That was Clemson 2nd title and I think Clemson has won a lot more games than MSU, since 1980.
