They were a better team last year in a 1 vs 1 matchup scenario for sure. I think their resume was clearly not as good, but who really gives a shite when comparing two teams that weren't awful but weren't good I guess.

I won't pretend to know how the new additions/departures/philosophical tweaks will change Auburn, but I anticipate Alabama will be different stylistically this coming season. No idea how that will specifically apply to an individual matchup with Auburn (don't really care, in the big picture).

In the context of me qualifying it as "I didn't have AU who returns more + adds pieces in the NCAAT so I definitely don't see a worse team jumping them" it is really relevant

Making that type of style change to accommodate a couple freshmen doesn't say "confidence" in picking them for NCAAT
