Well no shite, they didn't get a single selection in the records book that year. 
If the FWAA is good enough to be considered a major poll by the governing body of the sport and for a blue blood like Ohio State to claim (1961) then it's good enough for everyone else. You just have a problem with it because it's Ole Miss.

No I think it's a joke for anyone to claim not just ole miss. Alabama does the same thing and we bash them for it all the time.
