21. Jacob Eason, Georgia

63. Danny Etling, LSU

Eason in starts

54.7%-----191yds/game------1.25tds/g-----0.666int/g----120.2 rating

Etling in starts

60.39%------202.3yds/game------1td/g------0.4int/g----135.6 rating

I know it is the cool thing to shite on LSU qbs, but having Etling that far behind Eason doesnt make any sense

So a guy who had already played 2 years of college football had a slightly better season than true freshman seeing his first college football action. Guess they think Eason has a bigger jump for his So. season than Etling has for his Sr year.

I understand, but Etling will also be in a brand new offense that almost everyone agrees will be more QB friendly.

Yea, it seems pretty clear to me. Etling played with 2 great 1st round pick RBs, good WRs and a good O-line. And had 3 years of college experience.

Eason was a true freshman behind a miserable o-line with no playmakers at wide receiver.

Etling is pretty close to his peak, Eason hasn't scratched the surface. You can disagree with their decision but the rationale for it makes pretty good sense.
