It's not the size of the campus but the motion of the ocean.

But I think Samford being small helps here. Easier to contain. No shitty parts. 100% nice and all the buildings are aesthically pleasing.

Take Elon University. It's about the same size as Samford and without question would far and away be the prettiest campus in Alabama. In North Carolina though it's probably #3 at best.
