For those that follow recruiting what are your feelings on the players from the area? Can Martin actually land the best players? Can someone finally recruit STL?
2017
MPJ - Good chance
Jontay Porter - Good chance
Jeremiah Tillman - Illinois commit
2018
Carte'Are Gordon - Saint Louis commit
Courtney Ramsey - Louisville commit
I just listed a few. Several 4* and up players in the KC and STL area's. I wonder if we can flip Tillman and the 2018 guys.

There's so much uncertainty about where him and coach Walker will end up. Some say Mizzou is making a strong push from him others are saying he's staying. I really hope we can at least get Walker.

Bishop out of LSW - 2018 has a Mizzou offer.

Yea Bishop's a 3 star. I'm not sure what to make if him. His high school coach uses him almost exclusively as a post player. That's not what he will be in college. So once in college he's more of a project, than the others.

He was pretty off the radar until this year from
what I've seen. A summer of AAU ball and another year of HS ball will probably give us some more idea of his potential.

Bishop and Childs pretty much got dominated by Gordon in the state championship game.
Gordon isn't very skilled, but is way to athletic and strong for most high school post players.

Maybe an overstatement? Maybe not as skilled as others but to say he's not very skilled I don't think is a fair statement. He's probably as skilled or more than anyone currently on the roster.

Gordon has come a long way, but still doesn't seem to have a jump shot. I doubt he can make it to the NBA without developing one.
It could just be how his team uses him. Last year I didn't see anything from Cook that would indicate that he would be as good as he was for Iowa as a freshman.

I don't disagree with that but that is also a far cry from saying a kid isn't skilled. If that is the measuring stick, we've had a ton of kids that aren't very skilled going back through the Norm days.

Could be. I watched Cook play some. Liked what I saw. Thought he could be a top player for Mizzou. Not a star, but given what we had, I thought he could have an impact. Didn't quite expect the impact he made so fast.

Cook probably deferred a lot to Tatum in high school. My pops is a huge Iowa fan and I watched that NIT game with him yesterday. He loves Cook, but says he has no clue from outside of 5 feet. That's what getting in the gym in the offseason is for though. Bigs need to develop their game more than any other position.

I am told tonite by those close to Jeremiah Tilmon that he likes @MizzouHoops and Cuonzo. But he likes Illinois . Jamal Walker is the key.
