Time for guys like Hand and Evans to step up.
I'd like Minkah to stay at safety. His speed and athleticism is great for playing deep and covering the middle of the field. I doubt it, but I really hope Minkah returns for his senior season. Guy has been one of my favorite playmakers since day 1.
Dark horse pick for WR is Derek Kief.

For me it's offensive guards, Linebackers, Rob Foster and the Receiver rotation.

I'm hopeful Cotton will improve enough to lock down a guard spot. I thought he was better than Kirven last year.

I want to know who steps up and becomes our edge rushers,Who is gonna replace Anderson and Williams. I really think Christian Miller and Anfernee Jennings can do it.

Minkah, barring any injuries, will probably be the first DB gone in next year's draft. He's gone after this year.

I did as well. Ross was the weak link pre Kirven switch imo.

I want to see how developed Terrell Hall will be. He looks like part, and had some impressive moments last year. Hopefully he can turn into the animal that Anderson was.

I have faith that DL will be very good. Not as deep, but very good. I have faith whoever plays at edge rusher and LB will be very good.
My main questions/interests are the OL, QB improvement and general offensive philosophy and scheme.

Let's not forget about our kicker situation.

I'd rather forget about it.
Seriously though, find me a guy who is 90% from inside 40 yards and less than 20% outside of 40 yards. Then we don't even have to make decisions.
If we are on the 25 or in, kick the FG. If we are outside the 25, go for it every time. That's honestly my ideal situation if we don't have Daniel Carlson Part 2 on our roster.

I will say - the one part of Adam Griffith's game that we might miss is his near automatic touchbacks (when we didn't STUPIDLY get cute and try to pin guys deep).

This was really stupid. With the defense we had, the threat of giving up a kickoff return was not worth an extra 5-10 yards of field position.

To this day I think this is by far the dumbest of the consistent approaches we have (and we don't have many dumb ones).
I do not understand it at all. The risk-reward was so out of balance, it made no sense.

TideSports has a good breakdown position by position. LINK

Just another example of Saban not being a great game day coach. It's one of his few flaws.

But this isn't even really a "gameday coaching" thing IMHO. It's scouted, planned and decided far in advance of the game. Those are things we are usually pretty good at.
Obviously they just have a different philosophy, but I sure as hell don't understand it. The only way 99.9% of teams were going to have a chance to score was if they gained yards on special teams or turnovers, and we gave them shots on special teams for no reason.

Bulovas isnt gonna be on Campus until August, so who is kicking in Spring?? Raborn? JK?

Saban is the GOAT and I'm not questioning his results but shite like the kickoffs and not getting his backup QB as many snaps as possible doesn't show that he's not a good game day coach as much as it shows he's a stubborn old cuss that won't admit when he's wrong.
