"Weakness"
I like that about him. Will bring energy to the court that we haven't had in years

Yeah, I hope he tones that down a bit.

I like the edge he has too, but he will have to control it better at the college level. Still the team needs an alpha leader and he looks like he can be that.

Obviously he can't be yelling at the opposing coaches and stuff like that, but I hope the trash talk to the other players continues. I want him to do as much talking as he can without getting a technical

Down vote, only because that's what we need...An aggressive, confident and cocky player..This year we weren't as soft as we had been but we still have looked very timid out there..And playing timid is not something you want from any players and 1 player like Sexton who 'has it' can change the whole attitude of a team...You know 1 bad apple thing...But in a good way.
If Sexton's passion ruled everyone we could be a real threat.

I'm all for confident and not being timid. I just think you can do that without yelling at the fans and telling someone their son is trash. And, if he were going to any other school, everyone here would agree with me on that.
I don't want him to change much. I don't mind him being vocal and having fun. I hope he is and does. I just hope CAJ keeps him fairly respectful.

I will 100% admit I'm probably more excited about basketball season next year than football.
I can't wait to watch that group next year.

Yeah I never thought I'd be more excited for basketball season than football, but honestly, I am.

I'm with you guys on the basketball excitement.
I think it's a bi-product of the success the football team has had, coupled with the drought in basketball. We know the football team will be a contender, but we haven't had a basketball team that could compete in years. I hope we start an upward trend next season.

True. I love football, and hope the success continues. But, the possibility of building the basketball program is exciting. I can't wait to see the team next year. Hell, I'm excited to watch the damn NIT.

quote:I am too. Last year I wasn't that excited bc I felt like our team collapsed and didn't play good going into it. Got destroyed by Kentucky the game before it last year. This year we played like an NCAA tourney team in the last 3 games and were 5 points away from being in the sec championship. I feel like this tourney will give us momentum going into next year, so we need to do well in it.
Hell, I'm excited to watch the damn NIT.

Not as high on Reese after seeing him play.
I hope you've actually seen him play and aren't talking about that short clip that you commented on on YouTube. He's a good all-around big.

I hope Avery let's him talk back to the fans and talk shite to opposing players. He feeds off of that. Now he probably doesn't need to be talking shite to the coaches, but the coaches at the collegiate level wouldn't be provoking the shite talk. Don't get me wrong Penny was great, but I find it hard to believe that that shite wasn't provoked by Penny. He's been known for it. Even the people who filmed that video said it was blown out of proportion.

I'm absolutely more excited about the next basketball season than the next football season.
