But the gap between the haves and have nots can only be so big before the games
become uncompetitive and the point still remains, why would any mid level team risk
millions of dollars they need to compete if it can all be flushed down the drain
because of a rogue booster ? I think you are going to see some conferences
look to take some power away from the NCAA sooner than later.

Do you not grasp the fact that the power of the NCAA is what allows mid-level programs to compete AT ALL?
Do you think that programs with 10x the budget would not bury smaller programs in order to win even more championships?
