Which true or redshirt freshmen do you think will contend for significant playing time this year?

Cleveland and Kindley (if he's granted a RS) could be RSFr that could see reps on the OL. It seems like the majority of last year's class actually played so there aren't a ton of options to choose from.
In this class I think Lecounte, Holloman, Hayes, Johnson, Wilson, Webb, and Poole are absolutely shoo-ins to see at least some PT.
Not sure what you consider "significant" PT, but I'd say Hayes and Wilson are the frontrunners to see the most.

RS: Manac, Kindley, maybe Cleveland
True: Wilson, Thomas, LeCounte, Gibbs, Rice, Swift, Holloman or any of the WRs, maybe Johnson, Bishop/Poole/Speed have a shot, Fromm if Ramsey transfers, all of the ILB or DB types will probably play on STs.

Fromm will be number two and soon. Ramsey just doesn't seem to juice the lights for the coaches...not even a flicker.

I don't doubt that he would come in if Eason got hurt, but they'll try to RS him if possible to get some separation from Eason

Add in Swift, who I feel will be the 3rd back on the field as the season unfolds.

Fromm... Legit number two to push number one can light a fire in our offense. Kid is wicked smart too.

Really hope Fromm doesn't see any playing time this year. That means Eason hasn't developed or he's been injured.

I don't see it happening unless in cleanup. I just think his impact will be in Eason's head. Nothing works better at pushing your game to a new level like competition and the fear.

I don't agree with the consensus on Swift. I'm glad we got him because we needed a RB in this class, but he's not better than any other RB on our roster IMO. Looks like a slower, less shifty version of Holyfield. Could be wrong, we'll see how he does.

Even in cleanup I believe the coaches would prefer he not play just to get some class separation. Ideally you like some spacing, and if Fromm is going to play this year only in mopup duty we've basically wasted his freshman season. Going into 18 with a JR eason and RFr Fromm would be ideal.
The problem is that noboyd truly knows where Ramsey's head is, the guy could transfer tomorrow for all we know, and after him we just have walkons and scout teamers at QB which is pretty scary.

Makes sense. Man, I hope Fromm really pushes Eason though. We have the potential to throw all over the field with him. With the receiver talent he has coming and already in the stable we could be a pass happy team with the option to run it against anyone...
Who do you think has more potential at receiver? Blount or Holloman?
