As much as I want Bo Davis (because he is a great recruiting position coach from Mississippi) I would say we have to pass on him. With what is pending with NCAA Ole Miss situation and his situation at Bama, it would be like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

It would be worse.

Do you not think the NCAA would jump at the oppurtunity to "punish Bo"; simultaneously clearing his name from Nick's legacy (at our expense)?

Isn't there a rumor that Davis' impermissible contact got discovered through the NCAA's investigation into our recruiting practices? If there's even a shred of truth to that, we'd be dumb even to give him a call. Regardless, I imagine Davis is off the table. It's a bad look to hire a guy who resigned over NCAA recruiting violations while the NCAA is fisting you over alleged recruiting violations.

Maybe we can go after an NFL guy, but we probably won't
