Really? That's what you read into it?
Considering the turnover, yes I do.
The 3 that left are getting promotions, but you also have to be looking to land these jobs.
I'm not saying the sky is falling, but this offensive staff is being shooken up...

Chip Kelly says he’d be happy to become an offensive coordinator again

He cant run the same offense he did at Oregon. That doesn't work in the SEC consistently.

Not really. They could have easily been reached out too. Also, its kind of his agents job to be active in looking for better opportunities.
It was a surprise to no one that Kiff left for an HC position. I think everyone was more surprised that it took as long as it did.

Locksley is not going to work
I don't know. Maybe he will do a good job. It's a pretty good bet that if he doesn't take another job, too, then he'll be the guy, or at least one of the guys. I mean, I doubt Saban will demote him if he hires another co offensive coordinator.

Nonsense. He'll have superior athletes at Bama. Plus the SEC is no longer this superior defensive conference. You guys are living off reputation. The great defense is Bama.

LSU has a great defense. Louisville runs an offense similar to what chip runs, and look how it turned out for them. He cant just run zone reads. He is going to have to run some sort of power running game, misdirection, and figure out how to use every single weapon bama has. If he can do that then i say he will be the most successful OC bama has ever had, and bama wont lose another NC game with him calling the offense.

It's gonna be Locksley.
And if it is, I'm gonna melt my arse off, because that's a disaster.

Saban is always one step ahead. Im sure he had this figured out even when he promoted sark.

Looks like Boz ended up being right.

He had the #1 rated offense in the NFL during his first two years in Philly. This notion that his offense wouldn't work in the SEC is so laughable. He would be scary at Bama.

His offense with our athletes and Tua or Jalen would be.....it'd be very good.
The dynamic of the speed and Sabans philosophy would be interesting to watch. Saban doesn't mind read option type stuff, even some hurry up, but I don't know that'd he be keen on the absolute pace thing.
Would be interesting

Personally, I am glad to get away from the whole USC/Pete Carroll coaching tree.

If I had my druthers I'd take Dan Enos at Arkansas over everybody. Too bad he can't move within the SEC.

I won't be disappointed if we hire a good OC that returns us a little more toward our smash-mouth roots. But, I expect us to keep the same offense. Saban thinks that because this style is HIS Achilles heal, that it's the hardest to defend for everyone. I'm not sure that's true. I think the '12 offense would do just fine with '17 talent.

Triple Daves posted on the Rant that Helfrich, Kelly and the Texans OC are the candidates to replace Sark.

Whoever the hell it is needs to be able to develop a qb.
