3 cycles away and he's already a 6-1 175 CB.

Dude is gonna be 6-3 200 by his senior year...

Alabama lands first 2020 commit

Alabama has landed its first 2020 commitment in Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson cornerback Javier Morton, his coach Corey Johnson tells BamaOnLine.
Morton picked up a Tide offer in August and has since been trending to the program. Johnson told BOL in August that Morton along with two other 2020 teammates in running back Deondre Jackson and defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse were leaning to the Tide.
“There’s a good chance that all three will end up heading that way,” Johnson said. “They’re in a strong place with those three. Just because the kids, as well as the parents, like it. It’s a strong possibility that they’re going to get that taken care of early.”
As for Morton's skillset ...
“Javier is kind of like a freak of nature. At the age he’s at right now, he’s about 6-1, 6-2, playing cornerback. Everybody’s going towards the trend of bigger receivers. He matches up with that person. I think Javier fits in line with exactly what schools are looking for.”
The Peach State product chose Alabama over additional offers from Cal, Florida, and Tennessee (among others).
