After watching White's Junior film (no Senior film that I can find) I still prefer Brock Purdy. His arm is stronger and he's a better runner.

Purdy also looks more accurate.

He isn't bad by any indication, but his arm strength is very suspect. Most of his throws are rainbows. That won't fly in the SEC.

There was a lack of many medium throws to judge on. Almost all nice runs or bombs. I thought the timing on his deep ball was great though. Also liked his foot work.

We both know he won't play...I was on my Sean shite and wanted James Foster just because he was a four star lol.

I'm an Army recruiter out here in Brevin White's area. He goes to a private school out here.

I don't think any QB we will get this year will ever play. Especially considering we are likely to get two solid QB's next year. Really just need another body for depth.

Bobby Williams went to Oregon? Gotta say I feel pretty sad about it. Been with Saban the whole time. Lol but I'm congratulate him on the opportunity. Oregons like Alabama lite as far as the coaching staff right now.

So who'll be in charge of Little Debbies and coffee now, Weinke?

Alabama recruiting question of the day: Who are Crimson Tide’s top-5 targets? | SEC Country

quote:

If I had to rate the remaining targets Alabama is after in the 2018 class, I would think the top-5 overall targets list would something look like this: 5-star cornerback Tyson Campbell, 5-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr., 5-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, 4-star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and 4-star wide receiver Justyn Ross. That’s just my opinion, though. Alabama has been recruiting those guys heavily for several months, and in some cases over a year now.

We’ve talked about it numerous times over the past several months, but Alabama needs corners badly and Campbell and Surtain have been at the top of the wish list at the position.

Petit-Frere has been the team’s top offensive tackle target dating back to the summer. He’ll likely commit to Alabama, Florida or Ohio State when he makes his decision. Petit-Frere took an official visit to Tuscaloosa this past weekend. Sources have indicated they feel like Alabama is the team to beat; however, he has trips to Florida and Ohio State on deck.

Waddle was arguably the most impressive prospect at the team’s summer camp. He’s been labeled as the top slot receiver target since then. His decision will likely come down to Alabama and Texas A&M. I like where Alabama stands right now.

Ross has been one of the team’s top overall targets for more than a year now. His decision likely comes down to Alabama and Clemson. I’m giving the Crimson Tide the advantage right now.

So I'm looking at 247 updated rankings...how the hell do guys like B. Cox and Waddle drop after dominating practices and in game at the top all star games lol.

Well if he is committed to Princeton, which the Ivy League can not offer athletic scholarships, he may the perfect QB fit for us because hopefully he would come on board as a preferred walk-on.

To take Devin White as a PWO, his visit this weekend's can't be an OV, right?

Brevin White

Was a guy AU looked hard at over the summer as Chip Lindsey recruited his brother to Arizona State. Thought at one point he might land in AU's class. To me he's a low ceiling, high floor guy which honestly makes a lot of sense for ya'lls QB situations right now. Always thought White would be a beast in an Air Raid system

Deyavie Hammond announces he has de-committed from Alabama | SEC Country
quote:

Deyavie Hammond warned us all this was coming soon.

The 4-star offensive lineman out of famed IMG Academy announced he was de-committed from Alabama via Twitter message on Friday morning.

“I’d like to thank the coaching at staff at the University of Alabama for givine me the opportunity and the Alabama fan base for all the love given,” Hammond wrote. “But with talking it over with my family and prayers and my fellow teammates, I’d like to announce that i have de-committed from the University of Alabama, I will not forget about the Alabama nation but I feel that this decision is the best for me right now.”

Hammond, who is the No. 5 offensive guard in the Class of 2019, told SEC Country’s Chris Kirschner he was planning to de-commit from the Crimson Tide earlier this month.

“I’m kind of iffy, iffy on them,” Hammond told Kirschner at the Under Armour All-American Game.  “I’m looking at other schools and thinking about opening up my process.

“I want to take more options and look around more. I just want to see what’s out there.”

Former Alabama commitment Trey Sanders, a 2019 5-star running back, is Hammond’s high school teammate. He also de-committed from the Crimson Tide earlier this month.

Meh.

One position group we aren't hurting for in 2019 is offensive linemen, especially if the kid from Prattville starts to blow up.

Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.
