He got a two year deal. As mentioned before, I'd see if he wanted to be AD or even coach baseball
And I'm a huge Thomas Brown fan btw. Great coach and DGD.
This is Coley's last year in his deal. Heard he really likes Athens though.

Huge week for the Dawgs 3-3! #24 ranked class for 2018 according to 247 sports.
Who was the 3rd guy? Saw the DE and WR that committed, but who am I forgetting?

We got two WRs. Moore and Jackson.

we still are still looking good for Fields, Salyer, Johnson, Hill, and Cook. This could jump into the top 5 quick if guys started committing

If you add those guys and Adam Anderson we'd be at #2 as it stands right now.

I like UGA chances with Hill, Salyer and Anderson. I think all three will be 5 stars when the final rankings come out in Dec/Jan.
I think FSU has a slight lead for Fields IMO, contrary to what Kipp and Rusty are reporting.
Tyreke Johnson is going to continue to tumble down the rankings, so I think UGA looks elsewhere. He wants to play CB but he's a safety at the next level.
Lastly, UGA leads for Cook, but I think Louisville is coming on strong. I think it's 70/30 he ends up at UGA.

Interesting perspective on Johnson. Could totally see it happening.

What is happening with Tyreke Johnson to make him tumble other than wanting to play CB when S is the position he is best suited for?
Injury? Character issues? Or just not looking good so far this season?

For some reason, I'm not high on Cook. I think I'd rather grab another high caliber back in 2019 instead. Agree on Anderson, Hill and Salyer.

I'm with you on Cook, Tally. He looks like a good back, but he doesn't look any better than Holyfield who, barring serious attrition, won't see serious playing time at any point in his UGA career, in my very humble opinion. I think Cook is probably getting a couple of small ratings bumps from A. Being Dalvins younger brother and B. Playing HS ball in Florida.
I could be wrong, but that's what I see right now.

Granted, it was a small sample size, but in that video from the 1 on 1 drills at the opening he got burned every play.

Thanks Barstools. I had not heard about that.

We need backs like him on our roster. After this year it's Swift (Soph), Holyfield (JR), Herrien (Jr), and Zeus (Fr). With the importance placed on limiting carries and saving legs, it's vital to have 3-4 really strong backs on roster.
2019 Season would leave you with Swift, Zeus, and Cook + any backs signed in 2019 class. We need 2 backs in this class and at least one in 2019.

Yeah, gatorhata...I'm not saying we shouldn't take him if he wants to come, because quality depth is important and I agree we need 2 in this class. I just don't think Cook is a huge miss if we have to take another guy this cycle. Wasn't dumping on the kid, just don't think he's another Dalvin...at least not yet.
Posted on 8/21/17 at 9:54 am to DawgHolliday
He doesn't have to be another Dalvin to be a kid we definitely want. That's an unfair bar.
Posted on 8/21/17 at 10:05 am to Crowknowsbest
I don't think he has to be another Dalvin, Crow. And, you are right that it's an unfair bar. It was mentioned in one of the recruiting vids of his that I watched that some people have said he's better than Dalvin at this stage of his development. I just don't see it yet. Like I said, if he wants to come, let's bring him in. I just don't think it's an unrecoverable miss if we don't get him and have to take another guy to get 2 in the class.

Yeah, but we'd add 4-5 more as well.

We would be #2 "as it stands now." It is a phrase used in the English language which means "not including anything happening in the future." Hopefully that clears things up for you.
