I don't think McClain is that great. I would MUCH rather take a big, rangy guy like Walker or Peterson than McClain (who also doesn't seem to be that trustworthy).
I disagree on McClain. Dude's a stud. He's a Tuberville throwback. Smaller but flies around to the ball and knocks the crap out of people. Problem is he sucks at making visits and is all over the place. But I would take him in a heartbeat
My preferred LB class would be Michael Harris (my favorite of all of them), Channing Tindall and Zakoby McClain

FWIW Mikecb says FSU has expanded their QB search because of what Fields has told them. They like Corral a lot and will look harder into him. FSU still feels they can get JF but think it's close between AU & UGA with them being 3rd right now.

But I would take him in a heartbeat

If nothing else you are through and leave little to the imagination.

Assuming that's true I think it will be harder to beat UGA than FSU but I guess being in 2nd is a better place right now than being in 3rd.

FWIW BTA says he'd be shocked if Coynis does not end up at AU. Says he's not a ban bet guy but he'd consider it here.
Believes we get a commit or 2 between now & Clemson from names that will make AU fans happy. Recruiting now is in a holding pattern til the dead period ends next Thursday. May be obvious to some but he says the Clemson game is huge for many reasons, implying recruiting is one of them.

All I hear is "cautious" pro AU sentiments.
Does anyone really think Bowlcut is going to change his stripes for one FR QB?

Not sure how the numbers work, but we seem to always have a lot of Walk-ons that earn scholarships.
Auburn awarded scholarships to six walk-ons on Thursday.
H-back Keenan Sweeney, wide receivers Will Hastings and Griffin King, offensive lineman Tucker Brown, defensive lineman Gary Walker and linebacker Chase Ritter each earned scholarships for the 2017 season, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Sweeney, a redshirt-junior, was also on scholarship last year, when he appeared in three games.
Hastings, a former kicker, had 11 receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown last season. The junior is vying for a starting role as Auburn "3" slot receiver, which is usually on the field in four and five wide sets.
Brown, a junior, appeared in every game in 2016 as a blocking tight end and on special teams.
Walker, son of the former Auburn and NFL lineman, appeared in three games and recorded two tackles, including one in the end zone against ULM for a safety.
"Long time ago my brother asked me why I was ok with walking on," Walker wrote via Instagram. "I simply told him 'because I have faith in myself.' I'm honored to say that my words held their meaning, and now I am officially on scholarship for the Orange and Blue!!"
King, a redshirt-sophomore, appeared in five games on specials teams last season and recorded one tackle.

In all honestly I ain't gonna complain about getting any from the group of Tindall, Peterson, Walker or McClain. Just get at least one more from that group and we are set

Also just remembered Keith saying last week Kyler wants to play CB which is where we want him. Apparently Clemson is recruiting him at Safety FWIW.

Harris has been banged up so far but looks good when out there. Dude hits someone hard every play. Tucker looking really rough so far tho despite having better athletes. Kell has a legit QB
FYI talking about Corky Kell Classic going on in Atlanta right now. Tucker vs Kell right now. Brookwood vs Archer next. Matthew Hill plays for Brookwood

Kell had easy TD but Harris on blitz gets hands up and knocks pass down. Forces FG. Great play

Holy shite. Tucker just blew the pitch and Kell picks it up and takes it it for TD. That might be worst toss I have ever seen

Kell defense has some players. Interested to see if any pop up on AU radar next season
