I think Fox is a great developer of big men, an above avg. coach, an avg. recruiter, and a below average in game coach/manager of player rotations.

I will say college basketball recruiting tougher to rate IMO, just because it matters so much how many spots you have available.

I really just wish we could fall into a situation like TCU, but unfortunately that isn't the case.

I won't disagree at all there.

I guess. Waht is "average"? Going .500 in a season? In that case sure he's above average but we should strive for better than that.

Agree. We finish middle of the pack in our league and will typically get 1 guy every few years that big schools wanted, rounded out by projects.

Below average bordering on piss poor. And unfortuantely that's a major, major part of wins and losses. I saw someone on another board make a fantastic point- Fox is very good at gameplanning for an opponent and coming in with a viable plan, but is utterly clueless on how to adjust or go with the flow of the game. Never was this more evident than the end of the atm game. Fox jsut had it in his head "THIS IS THE PLAY DAMMIT, I don't care it's been unsuccessful the last 3 times, THIS IS THE PLAY". And it lost us the game. Not to mention having turtle on the bench and KPG on the floor, when ALL we needed to to was simply inbound the ball and get it past halfcourt and we win. And we've seen countless situations like that.

while that is true, we shouldn't be nearly as bad as we are. AU is recruiting absolutely lights out, but I'm sure the excuse there will be that pearl cheats. The guy who was fired and disciplined by the NCAA for cheating mind you, is now goign to start back cheating immediately again? Or it could be he's just a dynamic personality that can sell the program? Places like Mississippi State, WKU, Iowa State...they are miserable compared to Athens. Highly ranked kids go there because they have good coaches that have turned them into good programs.
