the SEC wasn't better than the ACC this year. guantlet. lol what have you been watching. i would say there is less pressure in the SEC simply b/c the SEC hype becomes an excuse for losing.
Clemson's biggest win of the season was at FSU. not winning on a neutral field agasint a limited offense.
Clemson didn't need 3 weeks to destroy a SC team that was competitive in the SEC and had an outside shot of winning the SEC east this year.

Clemson opened with Auburn. Gus didn't have a clue of a gameplan.
Played Troy the next week (30-24), SC ST, GT before playing Louisville.
Then played BC, NC State before playing FSU.
Finished with SYRACUSE, losing to Pitt, then playing WF and USC.
Like I said, two game season.
Not much of a Gauntlet compared to playing AUB, MISS, AL, ARK, TN, UF and A&M in a row. Injuries and fatigue are good for at least two loses with that schedule.
