Agim is the prototypical outside linebacker in a 3-4, we need more lbs his size.
If only we could've seen Vin Ascolese after a year in the weight room.

I hope not. He's been coaching defense for the length of a cup of coffee. I would like to see someone more seasoned personally.

Move Rhoads to DC and hire Dave Campo and throw the $$$$$$ at him as a secondary coach to replace Paul Rhoads

did we offer him the job or did he just interview?

Interviewed but not offered, Fatass has someone else in his sights.

If it isn't Rhoads then it better be a big time hire. I thought diaco was though and it is who I wanted.
It is probably some no named hack like smith.

Bret Bielema demonstrates inadequacy as a college football coach? NO WAY!!!1

Gotta be rhodes. Surely

Expecting the worst. I'm sure it will be a name way out of left field at this point.

Some of you folks crack me up. Diaco was another disciple of the bend don't break defensive philosophy, much like Rob Smith except a 3/4 rather than 4/3 etal....
The talent disparity between us and ND during his successful seasons there, I would hope Rhodes would be better to begin with.
and there are others available just as good, imho

Agreed. I'm not too torn up about him personally not landing here. It's more of just a perception thing to me. I'm tired of losing out to the bigger names for these types of guys.

We may not have "lost out" on this one, especially since the money would've been about double what Nebraska could've offered. I'm thinking CBB chose another direction, most likely Rhoads at a much lower price than Diaco would've been. That way we can throw more money towards Rhoads' replacement and a 10th assistant to lure some big fish, which all things being equal would be a smart move.
I wish we'd do something outside of the norm and hire a former "big name" currently out of football or retired like Jimmy Johnson, Switzer, Miles, Spurrier, etc to the 10th assistant spot as a full time recruiter. Throw a mil at them and tell them they can still hit the golf courses and live the retired life between recruiting/scouting season, as long as they hit the trail hard for UofA those few months out of the year.
