First of all it doesn't matter who the QB is if the WR's are going to drop passes that hit them in the hands. We could have Tom Brady back there, and it wouldn't matter. Receivers have to catch the ball.

Biggest jump for most players is between their freshman and sophomore seasons.

AJ did not start till his third season, and he still had growing pains.

Hurts will improve, and will likely be a Heisman contender.

Would you be posting this had Bama won the game after Hurts put Bama in position to win with 2 min left in the game ? I dont know about yall, but when Hurts broke that long run for what seemed like the game winning TD I was fairly certain we had a gamechanger at QB.

Stewart and Dieter missed a pass, each, that they should have caught. There were open receivers way more often than a couple of times that Hurts either missed with his pass, or didn't even see, which in a way is even more disconcerting when it keeps happening.

Having confidence that Hurts will improve is one thing, but revisionist history blaming the receivers, the same receivers that have been so productive the last couple of years, is b.s.
