Only four 4* recruits in the entire state per 247 comp...

#'s 128, 245, 308 & 325 in National rankings...

I think you're confused haha. Clemson doesn't recruit SC unless their is a player that catches their eye. They have 1 commit from the state. The top recruit in the state picked SC because AJ Terrell out of GA commit to clemson. SC players are clemson's plan b and c kids.

And thankfully we have Georgia North Carolina and Tennessee for all our recruiting needs.

Right.

If you have been following things for a while though, the pattern is that in four years a number of these guys you never heard of are going to make it to the NFL and stick.

Depending on what source you look at, South Carolina does very well per capita in eventual NFL players. Not as good as Mississippi or Lousiana, but I've seen a couple of those where we are ahead of Georgia.

I will say that the pattern also seems to be some guy that is obscure even to SC natives goes to Appalachian State or whatever, then sticks in the NFL for 10 years. Go figure.
