No, it's not funny. Butch wasn't joking when he said those things. Tennessee did something no other program could do, win the Life Championship. I would trade this years national championship for that.

Not as funny as following Brian Kelly's coaching jobs to then stumble into the Tennessee job.
Some schools would kill for 8 win seasons and 20+ 3 star recruits a year. I know South Carolina would, but then again yalls records over the last 10 years are also pretty much equal. ...

That also was when we were going through a coaching change.... if they were in high school now clemson would take them. And I'd also assume that they would of been clemson leans. Clemson takes the best player of need, if they are in SC that's who they go after.

I think you're confused haha. Clemson doesn't recruit SC unless their is a player that catches their eye. They have 1 commit from the state. The top recruit in the state picked SC because AJ Terrell out of GA commit to clemson. SC players are clemson's plan b and c kids....

I agree with you. Georgia is robbed by every school. They are lucky that it's so talent deep. If it wasn't Georgia would be even more mediocre than they are. Y'all beat Georgia down multiple years with Georgia players. Shaw being one of them....

Probably so. They should be happy. Nearly every one of their 4 star instate kids commit because clemson doesn't offer them. Their best WR committed because of that. Joyner will end up committing to them also. So in a way, they should thank the big brother.

Clemson doesn't get very many players from SC now. It's actually hurting with some of the high school connections.
Take the 4 star Dual Threat QB Joyner. He didn't even get a clemson offer and held out waiting for one. Clemson ended up getting the # 1 2018 QB in the country out of GA. They also ...
