To be fair, 2004 USC was a lot better than the 2003 version. At least in my opinion. But I'm sure it would have been a better game than Oklahoma provided. Crying for a running clock in the second half.

USC might've won, but Auburn also might've won. We will never know.
Logic tells me it would've been closer than the 2003 meeting, and that Auburn wouldn't have gotten bullied like Oklahoma.

Given that about 4-5 mediocre teams went toe to toe with them I think Auburn would have held their own just fine.
